New Beginning
Today leaves me feeling a little different. One year ago today the people of Haiti suffered a devastating earthquake. It
destroyed their homes, lives were lost and left others amputee's. One year later they are still living in tents.
Also today we must remember the people in Tucson, Arizona as they say good-bye to loved ones because of a senseless shooting.
Young children having to experience saying good-bye to a classmate and friend who was shot and killed. How horrible for them. A
Retired Staff Sergeant was on Oprah several weeks ago and she was showing how she makes it off $10.00 a day and living in
her car. How sad that makes me feel. There should be no homeless people. To know someone is sleeping on the street or
in their car if they have one breaks my heart. I don't know what I can do today but I will keep donating to those in need
when I can and maybe one day I can do more. Sometimes they just need a chance at a new beginning. There may be a happy
ending for Ted Williams once homeless and now in demand for, as he referred to it, his God given talent. I wish him much success in
his future and with rehab counseling. I know I am blessed and I will keep lifting up those in need in my prayers.
John 14:13-14.

Blessings
Thank God for another year. I can't believe it's 2011. I'm excited as the year takes off. January
2, started with book sales, I take that as a good sign. As the new year begins my goal is to complete my third novel
and hopefully my non-fiction book as well. 2010 was a good year, I was blessed with another Grandson, that makes number
three. My second romance novel, Captured Hearts was published, and so far, good reviews. Every day in 2010 was not always
positive but I'm always blessed. I believe If you find yourself in a time where you feel down, just know that you only
have to pray and turn it over to God. I am not going to say it's easy to let go of what may be getting you down. I am going
to say God is able and you have to believe he will do what you ask him to do. When things aren't going well it's up to you
to find the positive. Sit down and write on a sheet of paper, every negative thing that you feel is happening in your life and
every blessing you are receiving. It will open your eyes to how blessed you are. Be patient. God answers prayers. Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me. Psalm 66:20
